Rowing for Charity from Oxford to London

Over August bank holiday weekend 29th-31st, nine students from Oxford University will be rowing from Oxford to London to raise money for Charity. The distance from Oxford to central London is around 110 miles along the River Thames. The challenge will take three days to complete, with overnight stops in Henley-on-Thames and Staines.

The event has been organized to raise money for ZOV UK, a charity which works to ease the lives of underprivileged and orphaned children in Bulgaria. See http://www.zovuk.org.uk/ for more information.

Three of the rowers, Nikolay Aleksandrov, Kiril Kossev and Tom Karkinsky are Bulgarian, and have helped to organize this event. For further information on the event, as well as other initiatives of the Oxford University Bulgarian Society, please see http://users.ox.ac.uk/~bulgsoc/BulgSoc/Oxford2London_Row.html
