New Executive Director of Karin Dom has been appointed in October 2024
Antoaneta Boncheva Ivanova ‘is a well-known person in the field of social services and policies for children, an advocate for children’s rights and health care in Bulgaria. She is an activist, volunteer, social worker. One of the first volunteers on the ground during the arrival of refugees from the war in Ukraine in Varna. Organizes emergency aid for refugees in serious condition, mothers with babies and small children. She also has experience as a social worker and mediator in early childhood development services at the Community Center for Children and Families – Varna, where she has been counseling families for the past five years. Tony is also one of the founders of the association “Spina Bifida and Hydrocephalus”, created by parents in 2011, where she actively participates in organizational activities with children and parents, visual projects, donation campaigns, advocacy, support of new parents. She has extensive experience in developing and implementing social and educational projects aimed at supporting children from vulnerable groups and their families. Active advocate for children’s rights, part of the team that works for the medical food cause. Participates in the management of the National Network for Children since 2020. From 2023 is Chairman of the Management Board of the network so far.
Before all that, however, Toni has known Karin Dom since more than 10 years ago when she visited Karin Dom for therapy for her special needs child.
